Before WordPress, before page builders, there was Joomla. I spent six years building with it before I learned anything else, and I've worked with every version since.

Upgrades & fixes

Still on Joomla 3 or 4? It's time to upgrade.

Joomla 3 reached end of life in 2023, and Joomla 4 stopped receiving security fixes in October 2025. If your site runs either one, it's no longer getting security updates. I'll move it safely to Joomla 6 without losing your content or rankings.

Joomla website questions.

How much does a Joomla website cost?

Joomla websites start from £900, and growth websites with more pages and features start from £1,500. Upgrades from older versions are quoted after a free review, because every site is different.

My site is on Joomla 3 or 4. Do I need to upgrade?

Yes. Joomla 3 reached end of life in 2023, and Joomla 4 stopped receiving security fixes in October 2025, so neither gets security updates any more. I can move your site to Joomla 6, replacing outdated templates and extensions and keeping your content and rankings.

Is Joomla still a good choice in 2026?

For the right website, yes. Joomla is excellent for sites with lots of structured content, complex menus or user permissions. If WordPress would suit you better, I'll tell you. I build with both.

Can you move my website from Joomla to WordPress?

Yes, if it genuinely helps. I'll carry over your content, images, URLs, metadata and redirects so nothing important is lost. Often, though, upgrading to Joomla 6 is the simpler and cheaper option.

Do you offer Joomla training?

Yes. One-to-one training, online or in person around Oxford and Oxfordshire, tailored to your website. It covers editing pages, images, menus, news, basic SEO and keeping the site updated, with notes to keep.

Can you fix a slow, broken or hacked Joomla site?
