Swanky Pixels is a two-person web design and SEO studio in Oxford. I'm Pete. I design and build the websites and look after the SEO. Sally runs the office side and keeps the websites we host secure and up to date.

There are no account managers and no hand-offs. When you call or email, you're talking to one of the two people actually doing the work.

I started Swanky Pixels in 2010 and I do the design and build work: planning each website, writing and structuring the pages, building it, and handling the SEO that gets it found. I also shoot the video and photography for many of the websites I build, so the visuals and the website come from the same person.

Off duty: ultra-runner, wildlife filmmaker and mutton-chop enthusiast.

Office Manager & Website Care

Sally keeps the studio running. She looks after the office side, from scheduling and paperwork to renewals, and she handles the security and software updates on the websites we host, so they stay safe and up to date without you having to think about it.

Off duty: forager of hedgerows, road-trip planner and blueberry muffin connoisseur.

How we work

Small studio, long-term care

Being a two-person studio keeps things simple for you: fewer people in the chain, clear prices and the same faces year after year.

You work with me directly

I'm the one who plans, designs, builds and optimises your website, so nothing gets lost between a salesperson, a project manager and a developer. If you have a question, you ask the person who knows the answer.

Honest advice and a clear price

I'll tell you what your website really needs, and what it doesn't, before anything starts. You get a fixed price up front, with websites from £900, and no long contracts to lock you in.

Security updates done for you

When we host a website we've built, Sally takes care of the security and software updates. Your site stays safe and up to date, and you don't have to remember to do it.

Here for the long run

We still host and look after more than 80 websites, and my longest-standing client has been with me for 16 years. Most clients come back when it's time for a rebuild, a new service page or help with SEO.

My background

Oxfordshire born, building since 2010

I grew up in Abingdon, went to school at Larkmead and started my working life there. I set up Swanky Pixels in 2010, and some of my first clients are still with me today.

Since then I've lived and worked in Oxfordshire, the Cotswolds and Cornwall, which is why so many of my clients are in those areas.

I'm also a photographer and filmmaker. I shoot commercial, lifestyle and event photography and run my own wedding photography business, so your website can have real images and video rather than stock photos.

Oxford based, working across the South

Our studio address is in Summertown, Oxford, and our clients are spread from London to Cornwall. Most projects run smoothly over phone and video calls, and I'm happy to meet in person where I can.
